Memories of May
Fancy PhotoShoot-Easter
The wonderful thing i found about moving to Canada is the fact that you instantly become part of a community. With the help of social media and our “Community League” facbook page i got to virtually meet so many members of my community. It keeps me up-to-date without trying and knowing what new businesses are basically in our backyard!
This is exactly how I found out about the BODEUX PHOTOGRAPHY! We had the best time during the girls Easter photo session…
There was lots of gigles and laughs and Jared was absolutely amazing and patient when the girls were a little too silly!! And boy can the be extra silly!!!
Everything was super easy from the time we booked our session all the way to downloading the pictures!
As hard as it was to choose a picture to feature on the blog I figured I have to just blindly pick one!!
But then you don’t really get the essence of how much fun the girls had as much as this picture!!!
So the next time you are Making Life Memorable be sure to contact BODEUX PHOTOGRAPHY I’m positive you’ll have a wonderful experience.

Easter Photo
One of the nicest things since I’ve moved to Canada is that I don’t have to work so hard on recreating a celebratory atmosphere for the girls. Everyone celebrates too!!
With Easter around the corner everywhere I look are bunnies, eggs and chicks….So much to choose from that I end up feeling extremely overwhelmed and the fact that I still don’t have my usual plan. I’m going to miss my usual Easter egg hunt in my garden with my playgroup peeps!
Yet there’s so much to do around here I hope that I venture out to at least one event!
We did get to go to West Edmonton Mall and were surprised to see the bunny photo Op….I really felt like i was in one of those movies….My version would definitely be a “National Lampoons” one!
You can get yours done at West Edmonton Mall until April 17 at the Centre Stage, Level One, in front of Hudson’s Bay
Mon-Thu Noon to 7pm
Good Friday & Sunday Noon to 5pm
The girls loved all the fancy decorations on the stage and getting some cotton candy must have been another highlight too!!!
So If you haven’t already and you’re in Edmonton I suggest you get hopping and start Making Life Memorable!
Shutterfly Fun!!!
One of my favorite things that my best friend Terri taught me was how to scrapbook. It used to be so much simpler before….You get all your pictures printed choose your favorite and start crafting!!! Oh what fun…..stickers, markers and all.
Things have changed since then….printing my pictures is much rarer than before. They all seem to be on the could, on my hard-drive or google+ and God knows where else they’re automatically saved. So I’ve then turned into other modes of creating albums and that’s through Shutterfly…just upload the pictures add your comments and they print it all for you. Simple as that.
So cool that they now have free International shipping so you don’t have to pay double shipping to your US mailbox and all the way to your country. Click here and get started on your Shutterfly Deal with Promo Code: FREESHIPAF
This really does help in Making Life Memorable!

Digital Pictures
I can’t decide if digital pictures are a curse or a blessing. We are blessed to have such amazing technology that we can take pictures and videos with our smart phones… Any time, any place, instant development, over and above we can share them on our social media for basically Everyone in the world to see….. Yet once I upload them, back them up it seems that I never go back to them….
Seriously!! I was going through files and files in order to find a specific picture from one of the girls’ birthday.
It took me HOURS because I ended up just viewing whatever file I opened because I saw pictures I didn’t even remember I had.
Ok I have to admit I’m really guilty when it comes to organizing them…yes that is a flaw in my OCD, DYI, organization fixation. I even attempted to make sure I put them on Shutterfly. It doesn’t seem to be enough….
It’s funny how something so good as digital photography can turn out to be overwhelming while I’m busy “Making Life Memorable” I’m also having an inner battle as to how to organize my memories…..
First Day of School
If you’re anything like me the you want to celebrate the kids going back to school. So we kicked off this week with exactly that!
We have a tradition as many do to take “first day of school” photographs. Nothing professional just a little treasure for the future. I was so overwhelmed with what I’m going to do this year.
I Finally decided on First Day printable from Sweet C’s Designs. After downloading them I inserted the images into powerpoint and added what the girls want to be when they grow up.
Jennah said she wanted to be an Archaeologist… My eyes nearly popped out and asked her if she knew what it meant. She looked at me as though I insulted her and said “Yes!! It’s a person who looks for dinosaur bones”
Really put me in my place!!
Zeenah said she wanted to be a Computer officer…
I was skeptical at first because I figured it’s because We were sitting around my laptop discussing it. For the next 3 days I asked her the same question at random time and the answer was always the same. So Computer officer it is!
We took several pictures around the house but my favorites are the ones we took outdoors, there’s nothing like natural light.
I slipped a little Note for Jennah in her pencil case and was so touched when she actually slipped a reply back to me….. That really is “Making life Memorable”
Didn’t get a chance to take a first day of school picture?? You can always do “I survived the first week of school”.
