Take a break…..
Mind Break
I’m not the best person to take a a step back and Relax… not in my On-the-go personality…..
Everyone knows how I always have so much on my plate at one time. I’m Miss Busy Bee AND I deeply suffer from
FOMO…..yes Fear Of Missing Out
Even though I’ve substantially decreased so many aspects of my “previous life” with the Move to Canada.
Less friends, no family, no work/job, no business, NOTHING….absolutley NOTHING!
Well guess what? I somehow took a step back and decided to embrace it.
My forced upon me life Break…..
Maybe now I’ll take up Yoga and Meditation Loool!

Coconut Balls Recipe…..
I had posted on my Instagram a late night picture of what I was going to make to tame my sweet craving….
Now i’m big on desserts and baking but at such a late hour i didn’t have the luxury of time and wanted to just have something sweet…. That takes less than 20 minutes to be devoured!
First Measure all the required ingredients…. You’ll need
Next step is basically Mix ALL ingredients in a food processor until it begins to fold in on itself creating a dough like look.
Using a tablespoon or a mini ice cream scooper ( My personal choice!) Drop the balls of the dough onto parchment paper. ( you could just eat scoops out just like that if you want too!! )
Optional Garnish: To fancy up the balls you can sprinkle the balls with more lime zest.
Freeze the balls for at least 5 minutes if you’re in a hurry….ideally 10-15 minutes will make them completely firm
At this point you have two choices…. Eat the whole batch (totally doable!!! I know) or be a little more sensible and have a few and store the remaining in a ziploc or air tight container in the freezer…..
** You can totally substitute Lemon for the lime!

Mother’s Day…The day after
For the first time since I became a Mom I can honestly say I have had a “Real” Mother’s Day…..
I mean sure I got the little cute things that the girls made at pre-school, or kindergarten or school….
An extra hug here or there…..
But not a real official celebration of me
SHOCKING right!
I think the girls were always in some activity and the importance of celebrating was secondary…..
I am thankful that I do get my “me time” once in a while but today I would like to share My Mother’s day Wins of 2017

Weekend in Edmonton
After the rush of the week there’s always the weekend dilemma of what to do with the kids and how much is too much.
Now the most important thing in my view is always “less electronics” and I’m so happy that the weather now is so nice (even is it RAINS!) that we can begin to do things in the great outdoors.
I therefore logged on and began my search. I wanted to find what’s going on around Edmonton and it didn’t take long before I clicked to To Do Canada. I was so happy to find a great list of suggestions.
Want some inspiration for this weekend in Edmonton…I got you!

Mother’s Day Gift from David’s Tea
Sometimes it’s about appreciating yourself….
I find so many time I’m just busy thinking of everyone around me and I forget that I have to treat myself too.
While we were at Southgate Center I realized hey what’s more special than buying a few treats for myself and call it my own Mother’s day gift for Myself.
Soooooooo
I indulged…….
I splurged……
and
I stocked up
on a few teas and a little bit more from what is now my favorite tea store….. DAVIDs Tea
I just can’t believe it took me that long to actually go in and buy some things from there. I think it was probably avoiding the inevitable of spending more than I need to but its ALL very much worth it!
I couldn’t wait to come home and make me a cup of tea.

Brunch At Moxie’s
Every Weekend there’s always a dilemma in our house as to where to go out for breakfast. Coming from Kuwait where it’s basically Restaurant-Mania I find it extremely challenging in Edmonton. Maybe because not everything is centered around eating as it was back home??? Or possibly I’m not in the IN CROWD never the less we still have to research convenient and nice breakfast places.
So by pure luck and coincidence we found out that Moxie’s has one greaaaat breakfast. My personal favorite was the Smoked Salmon & Avocado Bagel.
AAAAAAAnd better yet they are having a Mother’s Day Brunch!!!
Visit Moxie’s website to find the closest Moxie’s to you….
